Who we are
BRDG ("BRDG", "we", "us") provides adaptive storefront software and a free store checkup for Shopify merchants, operated by Stratesee. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions are welcome any time at hello@brdg.click.
What we collect
- Store & merchant data (when you install the app). Through Shopify's API, with your authorization: your store details, products and catalog, theme information, and the order and traffic signals needed to adapt your storefront and measure results. BRDG runs read-only until you approve changes.
- Public storefront data (the free checkup). When you run a checkup, we fetch publicly available pages from the store URL you enter — the same pages any visitor or search engine can see — to read its brand, catalog signals, and readiness for AI agents.
- Contact details you give us. Your name, email address, store URL, and any details you submit through a checkup, form, or email.
- Usage & device data. Standard logs and analytics about how our site and app are used (pages, events, approximate location, device and browser), to keep the service reliable and improve it.
How we use it
- To provide the service — adapt your storefront to each shopper, structure your catalog for AI shopping agents, and run experiments measured against a control group.
- To check offers against your margin before they show, and to keep changes approved by you and reversible.
- To deliver your checkup results and respond to your requests and support.
- To secure, maintain, and improve our products.
- To send service and, where permitted, occasional product updates. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
Nothing ships without your say. On install, BRDG is read-only. You approve each change, and you can reverse anything in one click — including the data BRDG is allowed to act on.
Shopper & customer data
When BRDG runs on your store, some processing involves your shoppers' interactions (for example, which experience they saw and whether it helped). For this data, you are the controller and BRDG acts as a processor on your behalf, under our agreement with you and Shopify's requirements. We use it only to operate the experiences you've approved and to measure results — not for our own marketing, and never sold.
How we share it
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run BRDG, under contracts that limit their use to that purpose:
- Shopify — the platform your store and our app run on.
- Hosting & infrastructure (e.g. Vercel) — to serve the site and run our functions.
- AI processing (e.g. Anthropic) — to grade how well an AI shopper can use a store during the checkup's agent test. We send only the public store signals needed for that test.
- Lead delivery & email (e.g. a webhook or an email provider) — to route checkup submissions to our team.
- Analytics — to understand and improve usage.
We may also disclose data if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer, in which case we'll keep this policy's protections in place.
Retention
We keep data for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business and legal purposes, then delete or anonymize it. If you uninstall the app or ask us to, we remove your data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to act quickly if something goes wrong.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@brdg.click and we'll respond as required by law. We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
International transfers
We may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for those transfers.
Cookies & tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect how the site works.
Children
BRDG is for businesses and is not directed to children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our product and the law evolve. We'll change the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, give notice where appropriate.
